i guess after blogging during my vacation, i took a small vacation from blogging. well, i won't leave you hanging, here's my last canada post (i think)!
our travels home were much less eventful than the trip out there. this time we actually got to enjoy the scenery because we weren't in panic mode about meeting all of our "checkpoints". the ferry ride was gorgeous and cold, but we savored every last drop of chilliness knowing that it would be quite some time before we felt it again! the drive back to seattle was remarkably uneventful, save one inspection at the boarder. but that in itself didn't last too long. it didn't hurt that it was breathtaking, with blueberry farms everywhere!! and when we finally arrived home (and felt our sweat glands wake from their slumber), scout was there to very enthusiastically great us, and my mom had generously supplemented our pantry so we didn't starve the next day!
we are glad to be back, but sad to say goodbye to such a beautiful place, and so much time together! we will miss our new friends, and hope to return one day!
and finally the last random fact i noticed during our trip:
canada loves hedges...just about every house has them. they do look quite charming, and much better than the old chain-link!
